How to turn AI off
You can turn off AI features by closing the Mentra AI miniapp. When the AI miniapp is closed, voice-activated AI features will not activate.
Step by step
- Open the Mentra app on your phone
- Find the Mentra AI miniapp (if it's running)
- Press the X button to close the miniapp
Once the Mentra AI miniapp is closed, AI features will no longer activate through voice commands.
Tips and notes
- Turning off the AI miniapp disables voice-activated features but does not affect camera, audio playback, or streaming
- You can restart the AI miniapp anytime to re-enable AI features
- AI features require microphone permission — closing the miniapp does not change app permissions
If something goes wrong
If you cannot find the Mentra AI miniapp, make sure you have the latest version of the Mentra app installed. If the issue persists, contact Mentra support.
