What the Mentra app needs and why

The Mentra app asks for permissions so it can connect to Mentra Live and enable features like voice, AI, streaming, and notifications. If you deny a permission, some features may not work until you enable it.

Required permissions

• Bluetooth - Required to pair and connect to Mentra Live.
• Location - Required for Bluetooth pairing and device discovery.
• Microphone - Required for voice features, AI, and live streaming.
• Location - weather and maps.
• Calendar - display events/reminders on glasses with examples.
• Photo Library - save photos/videos from your glasses to your photo gallery.
• Camera - glasses mirror.
• Notification Access - display notifications from your phone on your smart glasses.

If something goes wrong

• If pairing fails, enable Bluetooth-related permissions and try again
• If AI does not respond, enable microphone permission and try again
